Laymen play a severe role in the hemophiliacs treatment. Laymen f.i., can help hemophiliacs in their home treatment, can be members of a voluntary personnel at the Society's Office or at the Hemophilia Centre, can be Blood Donors, can prepare educational/professional programs for the hemophiliacs etc. For a better use of the Laymen it is proposed: Programs of public information about the fundamental causes of hemophilia, Advisory Committees with a great Laymen's participation, training of Laymen (especially for the developing countries). Finally we must note that no one program or Laymen's plan could be successful unless it gains the acceptance of the hemophiliacs themselves.
