79 patients with definite ITP were investigated for HLA‐A, ‐B, ‐C antigens. There was an increased frequency of HLA‐B5 in the entire group (27.8 % vs. 16.5 % in controls) and for HLA‐B12 in male patients. However, after correction for the number of antigens tested, the difference of antigen frequencies became insignificant.
