5, 200, 000 units of ASH were found per ml serum from a patient with myelomatosis. The patient showed changes typical for myelomatosis: 82% myeloma cells in the bone marrow, several lesions and fractures of bones and 2.6 g IgA‐myeloma protein/100 ml serum. It was demonstrated that the M‐component possessed the antibody activity and that the combining sites were localized in the Fabα fragment.
