A 25‐year‐old female underwent evaluation for amenorrhea. The findings of profound hyperferraemia, without obvious cause, hepatic haemosiderosis, and pituitary gonadotropin deficiency led to the diagnosis of idiopathic haemochromatosis. Persistent autoimmune thrombocytopenia was found. Autoimmune thrombocytopenia has not previously been described in this disorder.
