Iso‐antigens of human granulocytes were studied with some HL‐A antisera obtained by skin grafting. The granulocytes gave no reaction in the cytotoxic antibody test, but absorption studies showed that the granulocytes contained the same HL‐A antigens as the lymphocytes from the same persons, which demonstrates that HL‐A antigens are common antigens of these cells. Quantitative absorption studies revealed a lower concentration and total amount of HL‐A antigens on granulocytes than on lymphocytes. This may partly explain the resistance of granulocytes in the cytotoxic antibody test.
