Observations with light microscopy in thin sections of lymph nodes from white rats and white mice indicate that the structure of mature lymphoglandular parenchyma is largely the result of the actvity of specific post‐capillary venules (High Endothelium venules) as formative units. It seems possible that even the reaction centers of secondary follicles may develop from such venules by massive proliferation of their high endothelium cells.
