The radiation sensitivity of dried functional proteins is roughly proportional to the molecular weight of the particular proteins under investigation. From a comparison of the radiation sensitivity of Factor XII with those of three different enzymes, the molecular weight of Factor XII could be estimated at approx. 80,000.
