Platelet adhesiveness was studied in 8 patients with thrombocythaemia with and without bleeding symptoms. Four patients with haemorhagic thrombocythaemia showed prolonged bleeding time and decreased platelet adhesiveness. Four patients with thrombocythaemia but with normal bleeding time, 3 of whom without bleeding symptoms, had normal adhesiveness.
