1. The influence of intravenously and intraperitoneally administered cephalin on ADP‐induced thrombosis in the rats was studied. 2. Hypercephalinaemia induced by simultaneous administration of cephalin with the ADP caused a significant increase in thrombosis. 3. The mode of action of phospholipids is discussed and it is concluded that phospholipids can act in thrombosis during the first stage of platelet adhesion.
