10 patients in whom pruritus was a very prominent symptom were treated with levomepromazine in daily doses of 25–50 mg. 7 of these patients suffered from Hodgkin's disease and 3 from reticulum cell sarcoma. In a number of patients levomepromazine controlled pruritus effectively without significant side‐effects. Though all the patients had other simultaneous treatments, e.g. radiation treatment or chemotherapy, the treatment with levomepromazine is considered to be the cause of relief of the pruritus in most of the patients.
