In spite of not knowing the numbers of patients treated and incomplete reporting, we review the adverse effects of topical nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs, namely, allergic contact dermatitis, photoallergic and phototoxic dermatitis, and attempt to provide a clinical perspective.
