Twelve standard textile IUCS were analyzed using thin layer chromatograpy and studied comparatively with dyes supposed to be chemically Similar, having the same Colour Index number or Registration Code, According to the chromatograms, Disperse Yellow 3, Disperse Orange 1, Disperse Orange 3 and Disperse Orange 13 seemed, at least in the solvent system used ID be pure, while all the other dyes, in the same eluent system, seemed impure. All the standard Textile Dye allergens were similar to the dyes used in the clothing industry. Their use in patch tests may prove useful, without overlooking the Tact that a difference from that in a suspected textile may occur.
