The Copenhagen Telephone Company uses 800,000–900,000 sets of no carbon required paper per year. Since 1977 the employees have related itching, dermatitis and symptoms from the mucous membranes to contact with the paper. In 35 employees a total of 4000 epicutaneous tests were performed with negative results. A questionnaire study of 2400 in the company revealed a close relationship between the symptoms and the work intensity with the NCR paper.
