The cost‐effectiveness of a denial restoration depends primarily on the durability and the cost of the restoration. In this report a method is described to compare the cost‐effectiveness using the durability data of adhesive bridges and conventional bridges. The study shows that, for the situation in the Netherlands, the breakeven point for equal cost‐effectiveness compared lo conventional bridges is achieved when the 50% survival for adhesive bridges is approximately 6.5 yr.
