Twenty‐one patients with severe neuroleptic‐induced akathisia resistant to antiparkinsonian medications were treated with oral clonazepam in an open trial. All the patients reported subjective improvement. We suggest that elonazepam is effective in managing neuroleptic‐induced akathisia.
