This chapter explains the method by which the data for this study were gathered and processed. Since a major consideration of this exploratory study is on the discovery of insights and ideas, “the research design must be flexible enough to permit the consideration of many different aspects”1 of drug addiction in Great Britain and particularly the characteristics of the sample of addicts selected for this study.
