Welch and Kennard (1944) observed action tremor in strictly cortical, bilateral ablation in the monkey, of the mesial, anterior part of the motor cortex, that is to say the areas having the most intimate connections with the basal ganglia. This can possibly bear upon the fact that in the present cases tremor and disturbances of equilibrium were much more marked in bilateral interference with circulation.
