For cerebral angiography we use ordinary x-ray films 24 cm. by 30 cm. The time of the injection of the contrast medium should to some extent vary with the diameter of the needle. If the needle is course, having 1,6 m.m. exterior diameter it is our experience that the time for the injection should be extended to between 2 and 3 seconds. If the needle is thin (exterior diameter of 1 m.m.) the injection should be rapid and not, be extended to more than an average of 1,2 seconds. We have, in this clinic serveral years ago abandoned the use of 50 f ; concentration of Perabrodil because clinical complications then may arise which are not seen when 35 5 ; concentration is used. Recent investigations carried out by Olsson & Broman (1948) show doubtless changes of the permeability of the vessels of the brain when a 50 7; solution is used. Such changes are not seen after the injection of a 35 ( ' i solution, even after infusion over a considerable periode of time. The exposure which is performed automatically by the movement of the plunger of the syringe, takes place when about 2 cc of the contrast medium is left in the syringe (that is after the injection of 6 or 8 cc of the contrast). The expoxre of the phlebogram takes place 4 seconds later by an automatical electric timer. The exposure is done at 55 kilovolt in the lateral view and 60 to 65 kilovolt in the frontal view. We use 200 milliampere-seconds amounting to about 0,8 second pr. exposure. The flash of an electric bulb indicates the exposures and a specially trained assistant withdraws the cassette when the exposure is over, after which a
