A new type of motion perimetry test was performed on three groups of patients (15 normal subjects, 10 patients with ocular hypertension, and 22 patients with early‐to‐moderate chronic glaucoma). Differences of coherence threshold were statistically significant both between normal and hypertensive subjects, and between normal and glaucomatous subjects. Dispersion of data and overlapping of results were the main problems found. Motion perimetry could be an interesting non‐conventional perimetric test in glaucoma, but its reliability and repeatability should be improved.
