The levels of triglycerides, cholesterol and phospholipids and the fatty acid composition of triglycerides, cholesteryl esters and lecithins were determined in plasma from eight patients with multiple sclerosis and eight control subjects with other neurological diseases. No differences were found between patients with multiple sclerosis and with other neurological diseases concerning the plasma lipid composition or the fatty acid pattern.
