.Gibbsia archiuli n. g., n. sp. (Eucoccidiorida, Adeleidae) is named for the apicomplexan protozoon described by Gibbs (1952) from the blood cells of the South African garden millipede Archiulus moreleti. Merogony, gamogony, and sporogony all take place in the host's blood cells. The oocysts contain four sporocysts, each with one sporozoite. The microgametes are not flagellated.
