SYNOPSIS. The DNA content of the different macronucleus nodes of Stentor coeruleus has been studied by microspectrophotometry on Feulgen‐stained isolated macronuclei. No relation between the position of the nodes in the macronucleus row and their DNA content could be found. Sister animals showed differences in distribution of the DNA in their macronuclei.
