SYNOPSIS. The literature on the coccidia of the coypu Myo‐ castor coypus Mol is reviewed. Four species of Eimeria have been described in these animals: E. seideli, E. myopotami, E. pellucida and E. coypi . The description of E. coypi is similar to E. myopotami in every respect, except for a little variation in size of the sporocyst It is therefore proposed to consider this species synonymous with E. myopotami , Two new species of Eimeria, E. myocastori sp. now and E. nutriae sp. nov. are now described from the coypu, naturalised n England in England.
