SYNOPSIS. A method is described whereby large amounts of Euglena cells can be obtained efficiently for enzymological studies. A completely defined, low pH medium which offers relative freedom from contamination is usee The cuh re‐equipment is also usable for the mass culture of many other unicellular algae.
