This article reviews the first seven episodes of the computer‐animated television series R aven T ales. R aven T ales adapts N orthwest C oast F irst N ations myths and legends, circulating these stories to increase their reach and relevance for young audiences. I examine the series in terms of its content's role in cultural renewal in F irst N ations communities, in relation to the mediations enacted through its production histories, and in the ways in which its form relates to other N orthwest C oast visual projects. I argue that R aven T ales works to mediate positive identities both within N ative communities and against non‐ N ative power structures.
