  Congenital heart disease combined with lung agenesis is extremely rare. We report a case of a 5‐year‐old female with a ventricular septal defect (VSD) and left lung agenesis with severe pulmonary hypertension who underwent successful closure of the VSD.   (J Card Surg 2011;26:519‐520)
