In this report of three patients with EMF, we report the unusual affection of the pericardium with echocardiographic epicardial thickening and pericardial inflammatory reaction, the presence of schistosomal granuloma in the pericardium, echocardiographic evidence of dense extensive fibrotic endocardial lesions, and microscopic evidences of an ongoing fibrotic process.
