We tested a new angled transducer developed for intraoperative epicardial echocardiography in 42 patients. This small transducer, 70 × 20 × 15 mm in size, demonstrated superior operability and provided adequate two‐ or four‐chamber imaging from the apical approach, which may lead to high‐quality assessment with two‐dimensional Doppler flow imaging.
