Noncontact Mapping of the Heart. The noncontact mapping system is a new tool for electrophysiologic study and radiofrequency ablation. The mode of operation includes single beat, three‐dimensional, high‐density mapping. Careful analysis of unipolar electrograms and isopotential maps are essential to understand the mechanism of the arrhythmia. Radiofrequency catheter ablation guided by this system is effective in curing patients of their tachycardias.
