An insertable loop recorder implanted to evaluate dizziness, documented an apparent arrhythmia during an orthotripsy procedure. Review of the tracing revealed artefact related to an electrostatic discharge that should not be mistaken for ventricular asystole. (PACE 2004; 27:1)
