This paper gives an example of how to structure a set of lectures on eigenvalues and eigenvectors for students of economics, finance, or any of the other decision sciences. It is presented in a fairly self‐contained style, suitable for the relative beginner, but its main purpose is to present the instructor with a way to motivate definitions and tie key concepts together.
