Author's Summary.— This is a list of French, German, Italian, and Spanish words and phrases used in eight widely‐read American periodicals during the year 1935. It aims to bring out the types of foreign language terms encountered in general reading, and thus to serve where significant as an aid in the teaching of vocabulary.
