An example of anti‐Fy 3 has been found in an Fy(a — b—) Negro patient whose serum also contains separable anti‐Fy a . The serological reactions of the anti‐Fy 3 component duplicate those of the original serum, except that in this case Fy(a +) or Fy(b +) red blood cells from newborn infants are not agglutinated. Both of the antibodies appear to be an immune response to a single blood transfusion.
