A component which is either identical or similar to serum orosomucoid has been found associated with platelet membranes. Immunochemical procedures, including absorption, Immunoelectrophoresis, and gel diffusion, demonstrated serological identity with serum orosomucoid. The component isolated from platelets had sedimentation properties consistent with the serological findings.
