A case is described in which an Rh o ‐positive Negro woman suffered a transfusion reaction. Her serum was found to contain anti‐rh“, anti‐Fy a , anti‐Jk b and an antibody resembling anti‐Rh o . A family investigation showed that the propositus and two of her five children belong to the pheno‐ type Rh o d . This evidence gives further support to the theory that the agglutinogen Rh o d is determined by a corresponding allelic gene R od .
