Two cases are presented in which blood typing tests of relatives provided critical evidence regarding the genotypes of the accused men in bastardy proceedings. In one case, the tests confirmed the supposition of non‐paternity. In the second case, the tests overturned the presumption of nonpaternity. Tests of relatives of the three principal parties can sometimes be very important, and they should be done when they can contribute substantially to justice, as in the cases described.
