Three anti‐Rh o (D) sera containing different proportions of complete and incomplete antibody were fractionated by column chromatography on DEAE‐cellulose using a single, continuous gradient. Incomplete antibody separated from the column at conditions of higher p H and lower ionic strength than those required for the elution of the complete antibody. The widths of the active regions in the elution patterns were dependent on the titers of the sera fractionated and the reactivities of the cells used for testing. Agglutination, absorption and elution tests with unfractionated sera confirmed the greater reactivity of cells compared with cells of other Rh genotypes.
