Complete displaced lateral condylar fractures of the metacarpus with triangular osteochondral fragments at the palmar articular surface occurred in two Thoroughbred horses. The condylar fractures were repaired with cortical bone screws following removal of the osetochondral fragments via a dorsal arthrotomy and distraction of the condyles. One horse raced successfully after surgery, and the other is being used successfully as an English pleasure mount.
