A 72‐year‐old woman was treated 1) for papillary cystadenocarcinoma of the ovary, by surgery and radiotherapy, 2) for carcinoma of the right breast, by surgery and radiotherapy, and 3) for terminal acute granulocytic leukemia by blood transfusions. All three of these malignancies occurred within a fourteen‐month period and the patient died about sixteen months after the diagnosis of ovarian carcinoma. The co‐existence of carcinoma of the ovary and breast in the same patient, and the possible etiologic relationship of the radiotherapy to the development of acute leukemia are discussed.
