In a 93‐year‐old woman, two colonic villous adenomas (one malignant, one benign) were found at operation; the cecal tumor had caused ileo‐cecal intussusception. Postoperative recovery was uneventful until the twelfth day, when sudden hemorrhage from the gastrointestinal tract resulted in circulatory collapse and death. Reasons are given for considering early elective surgery in these cases.
