Percutaneous transfemoral venous cardiac pacing was employed consecutively in 150 patients. The results are compared with those of pacing by other venous routes. It is concluded that percutaneous transfemoral venous pacing is a simple, practical, expeditious and safe procedure. Provided fluoroscopic facilities are available, it is the method of choice for temporary cardiac pacing, whether employed as an elective procedure or an emergency measure.
