This article is a review of pulmonary tuberculosis in older patients. Incidence, detection, clinical peculiarities and difficulties in implementing therapy are discussed. Special problems are involved in the management of pulmonary tuberculosis in the elderly, many of whom are treated at home. The administration of streptomycin combined with isoniazid in one injection offers some advantages in therapy.
