A bstract : This case report concerns a 91‐year‐old man in whom the following operations were performed at one time: 1) cholecystectomy (very large gall bladder with a stone in the cystic duct); 2) inguinal herniorraphy (the sigmoid‐pelvic colon was contained in a huge scrotal hernia); and 3) orchiectomy and hydrocelectomy (large hydrocele). The patient had an uneventful recovery. Old age no longer should be regarded as a contraindication to surgery when there is careful attention to necessary medical details and full cooperation between physician, surgeon, and laboratory personnel.
