A bstract : This is a description of how a “live” workshop was set up in an exhibit booth at a Rehabilitation Conference. Twenty aged (74–87 years) participants in a Home for the Aged workshop performed their usual tasks at the exhibit. The project was a great success. The aged workers experienced a new sense of well‐being, a better understanding of themselves, and much gratification from the praise they received. Rehabilitation workers gained more insight into the philosophy involved in the concept of sheltered workshops.
