A case is presented of a 50‐year‐old woman with Degos' disease (malignant atrophic papulosis) of 2.5 years' duration. Almost simultaneously with the onset of Degos' disease, the diabetes mellitus which had been present for 13 years began to fade and vanished entirely within a few months. This occurred although the patient was receiving corticosteroid therapy which proved indispensable for control of the severe Degos' disease. A renal biopsy revealed normal renal tissue despite the long duration of the diabetes.
