A bstract : A twenty‐year history of a ease of recurrent peptic ulcer with recurrent gastrojejunocolic fistula is presented. The sequence of surgical events was: (a) closure of a perforated duodenal ulcer in 1948; (b) gastric resection for ulcer and obstruction in 1950; (c) gastric re‐resection for gastrojejunocolic fistula in 1963; (d) gastric re‐resection for a similar lesion in July 1967; and (e) ileosigmoidostomy for a similar lesion in September 1967. Pancreatic adenoma was suspected but not identified. The compromise operation (ileosigmoidostomy) in 1967 has proved effective to date (one year later).
