A bstract An outline is given of the basic facts that the cybernetic theory of aging attempts to harmonize. An experiment is cited which adds substantially to support of the theory. The theory is described and its relation to Bjorksten's crosslinkage theory indicated. Ten significant questions for further study and an outline of the possible basic causes of aging are presented. The potential role of preventive endocrinology is stressed. A plea is made for more support for research on aging.
