Venereal disease is justifiably considered a disease of the young adult, and its prevention, detection and treatment in this age group has received considerable emphasis. However, in certain instances the end-results of the acute process are not evident until the person reaches middle age. Lymphogranuloma venereum is a disease which, if not treated early and effectively, m a y have devastating consequences. The following case report details some of t he end-complications of this disease, and our method of handling them :
