The eyes of DBA mouse offspring opened one day later than normal when the mothers took low doses of alcohol daily. No morphological abnormalities were found, and fertility, litter size. and litter viability were not affected significantly. However. these doses were sufficient to induce marked behavioral changes in the offspring.
