SUMMARY The authors have worked as vocational therapists in 4 Epilepsy Centres, in The Netherlands, in England and in Scotland. Comparing social treatment they consider that in The Netherlands to be superior: social service, training in the workshop and collaboration of these services both with the physicians and with the patients are more comprehensive, both for hospitalized and for ambulatory patients. RÉSUMÉ Les auteurs ont travaillé dans 4 centres pour l'épilepsie en Hollande, en Angleterre et en Ecosse. Ils considèrent que du point de vue de l'assistance sociale, le centre de Hollande est le meilleur. Le service social, le training dans les ateliers et la collaboration de ces services avec les médecins et les patients, sont bien structurés pour les patients hospitalisés et ambulatoires.
